Why Use a Bong to Smoke?

Smoking is a popular way to consume dry herbs, whether it’s for medicinal or recreational use. One of the most common methods of smoking involves rolling a joint. However, there's another option that's gaining popularity: using a bong. A bong is a type of water pipe that allows you to inhale smoke after it's filtered through water. While some may prefer rolling a joint, using a bong can offer several benefits. Below, we’ll dive into why using a bong to smoke can be a better choice for some users.

why use a bong to smoke
  1. Cools and Filters Smoke

One of the most significant benefits of using a bong is that it cools and filters the smoke before it enters your lungs. The water in the bong acts as a filter, removing harmful toxins and carcinogens from the smoke. This can make the smoke less harsh and irritating on your lungs and throat, resulting in a smoother smoking experience. Additionally, the water cools the smoke as it passes through, making it easier to inhale without coughing.

  1. Can Provide Larger Hits

Using a bong can also provide you with the ability to take larger hits than you can from a joint. Because of the larger chamber and the water filtration system, you can inhale more smoke than you can from a joint. This is especially useful for those who have a higher tolerance or need stronger effects for medicinal purposes. However, it’s important to note that taking larger hits can also increase the risk of coughing or throat irritation.

  1. Easy to Use and Clean

Another benefit of using a bong is that it’s easy to use and maintain. There’s no need to roll a joint, so you don’t have to worry about the hassle of rolling papers or filters. Additionally, cleaning a bong is relatively simple; all you need is some rubbing alcohol and salt. The water also helps to trap the majority of the resin and debris, making it easier to clean your bong and keep it in good condition.

  1. Better for Groups

Using a bong can also be a better option for smoking in groups. Because it can provide larger hits, multiple people can take turns without having to light up again. It also eliminates the need to roll multiple joints, which can be time-consuming and frustrating. Additionally, the water in the bong can act as a natural filter, making it easier to share with others.

  1. Different Types and Styles

There are many different types and styles of bongs available on the market. You can choose from a range of materials, such as glass, acrylic, or silicone. Additionally, bongs come in all shapes and sizes, from small, portable ones to larger, more complex pieces. This means that you can find a bong that suits your specific needs and preferences.

Conclusion

Overall, using a bong to smoke cannabis can be a better option for some users than rolling a joint. It provides a smoother and cooler smoking experience while also allowing you to take larger hits. It’s also easy to use and clean, making it a convenient choice for smoking in groups or on your own. With so many different types and styles available, finding a bong that suits your needs has never been easier. If you haven’t tried using a bong yet, it may be worth giving it a chance the next time you want to smoke.

Classic Metal Travel Pipe

This gives you what you expect. Perfect size to carry in a jean pocket without drawing undesired attention. Only negative I've found so far, has been the threaded mate between stem & bowl is fairly light duty material, so do not over-tighten or exert too much lateral force against the threads.
